SPIN Classes – Fall & Winter 2011/2012

36 awesome SPIN sessions lead by Canada’s 1st and only Olympic Cycling Gold Medalist Lori-Ann Muenzer.

Want to get fit to race next spring/summer, complete the Ride to Conquer Cancer, finish a Gran Fondo, or take your cycling to the next level?

Are you brand new to the sport or coming back after some time away, an elite cyclist, a roadie, mountain biker, trackie or triathlete? You get to learn the “secrets” and skills of indoor training.

WHAT TIME?

Arrive for set up at 6:00 PM, and we ride from 6:30 – 8:00 PM (90 minute sessions).

**For Tuesday classes you will need to enter through the north entrance (original Bike entrance) as United Cycle closes to the public at 6:00 PM!!

CYCLING TWICE A WEEK (90 MINUTE SESSIONS) YOU WILL:

  • Learn optimum pedaling technique – SPIN vs. pedaling an oval or a square
  • Learn optimum body positioning on your own bike
  • Build your endurance base
  • Add some speed work to your week
  • Have fun!

YOU’LL NEED TO BRING YOUR:

  • Bicycle
  • Wind trainer
  • Mat (for under your wind trainer)
  • Cycling shoes
  • 2 Water bottles with WATER (or whatever you hydrate with)
  • Headband or Hat
  • 2 TOWELS (1 during SPIN and 1 post-SPIN)
  • Heart Rate Monitor (highly recommended and an incredible training tool –if you do not have one yet, the basic model is just right for the class)
  • Your sense of adventure and learning!
